To ensure that your follow-up care is tailored to your needs, we recommend booking only one massage at a time.

You may book the date of your first massage now. After each session, your massage therapist will discuss with you the ideal timing for your next appointment and let you know when your follow-up session should be scheduled.

Therefore, subsequent appointments will be scheduled progressively, based on your massage therapist’s recommendations.

Nancy Lavoie has been a massage therapist since 2005. She has been working with people suffering from chronic pain for several years.

She has trained in Californian massage, Momentum, and Trager (R). Her curiosity has led her to explore Thai massage (both on table and on the floor), sports massage, fascia therapy, and Tuina. Since 2007, she has been teaching movement ergonomics for massage therapists, Californian massage, body relaxation techniques, and prenatal massage.

In 2015, she founded Masso Nomade, a performance group inspired by the art of touch, music, and dance. Masso Nomade also offers retreats in the art of touch, dedicated to caregivers and individuals suffering from chronic pain, providing respite and an introduction to Trager (R).

CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

Massage Therapy Services

By booking a massage therapy service with our organization, you are supporting our social mission and agreeing to comply with this policy. Our massage therapists are dedicated professionals whose time is valuable, and a last-minute cancellation prevents another member of our community from receiving an essential service.

1. Cancellation or Appointment Change Notice

Any cancellation or request to change an appointment must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of your treatment.

You may notify us by phone at 438-496-7448 or by email at info@fibromyalgiemontreal.ca.

2. Fees for Late Cancellations, No-Shows and Late Arrivals

• Late cancellation (less than 24 hours’ notice): A flat fee of $25 will be charged.
• No-show: If you do not attend your appointment without notifying us in advance, a flat fee of $25 will be charged.
• Late arrivals: If you arrive late, the duration of your treatment may be shortened so as not to inconvenience subsequent clients. However, the full fee for the originally scheduled treatment will still apply.

3. Exceptions for Force Majeure

We understand that emergencies or sudden health issues may arise. If your late cancellation is due to circumstances beyond your control that constitute force majeure (such as sudden illness, an accident, or a serious family emergency), please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assess the situation and, at our discretion, waive the applicable fee.

We understand that your condition may cause difficulties in your daily life; however, these difficulties do not, in themselves, constitute a valid force majeure exception under this policy.

4. Payment and Billing

To confirm your reservation, a credit card authorization or deposit payment is required. If the 24-hour cancellation notice requirement is not respected, you expressly authorize Fibromyalgie Montréal to charge the applicable cancellation fee indicated above to the credit card provided. For massage therapy services, since full payment of $50 is required at the time of registration, you authorize us to refund only half of the amount paid, i.e., $25.

CLIENT CONSENT AND AGREEMENT

By signing below (or by checking the online confirmation box), I confirm that I have read, understood and accepted all the terms and conditions of this Cancellation and No-Show Policy.

I authorize Fibromyalgie Montréal to apply the applicable fees in the event that I fail to comply with this policy.
